Good Works: Using Cheap solar tech to Lift from poverty
ToughStuff is a social enterprise which provides very affordable solar-powered products for low income people, replacing expensive and environmentally damaging alternatives (kerosene lamps and batteries).
Such a great idea, you can buy an solar LED light for $30 and the best part aside from cheap source of light(not to mention any other mod you could use it with)$15 of that goes to funding the business in a box that's given to a poor family in poor nations, to help lift them out of poverty all the while giving sustainable energy to people who often live 10miles away from a power source. By gaining easy power source this often enables these folks to get better emergency care, or able them to sell goods and services, to just name a few benefits.
Can't wait to get my lamp and panels!!
